VirtualSportsRacing.com and Wilson Endurance Sports LLC announce the World’s First Virtual Duathlon

Dallas, TX – March 23, 2020 – VirtualSportsRacing.com and Wilson Endurance Sports LLC, today announced the world’s first virtual duathlon, for beginners and experienced athletes alike, who are looking for a virtual challenge to stay healthy and competitive in this time of crisis.
The international event, which is the world’s first-ever virtual duathlon, consists of run, bike and run segments of 2 miles, 10 miles and 2 miles respectively.
According to Coach Mark Wilson, co-owner of Wilson Endurance Sports, LLC, “In this time of uncertainty, this virtual duathlon is a great way for beginners and experienced athletes alike to participate in and experience a global virtual challenge from the safety of their own homes or where relevant authorities allow”.
For the purposes of safety, the bike portion of the race will be strictly indoors only. It can be completed on any bike equipment with participants recording their times for the distance. The run portion may be completed indoors or outdoors, treadmill or trail, depending upon each athlete’s unique situation pertaining to COVID-19 restrictions and safety.
The challenge runs from March 23rd to April 30th 2020 and athletes may complete each segment in any order, at any time during these dates. Their fastest segment times will be recorded for their overall position with times normalized to the precise race distances.
