What is a virtual indoor cycling time trial?
Athletes have the convenience of cycling the distance of the time trial on their own schedule anywhere in the world — anywhere indoors. The beauty of virtual indoor cycling is the flexibility.
Who is virtual cycling for?
Anyone! Whether you’re looking to do your first cycling time trial or have done hundreds, anyone can participate. To be considered a finisher, you simply need to complete the required distance for cycling before the end of the event.
Where should I participate?
Wherever you can safely cycle indoors! Ride on the trainer or any cycling equipment (strictly indoor only for safety). As long as you can measure your time and distance via a smartwatch, GPS-enabled device or phone, you can enter your time and distance on the Virtual Sports Racing platform.
What equipment do I need?
A GPS-enabled device, phone or smartwatch to record your workout is encouraged, but you do not have to have a tracking device. Basic bike gear or access to a stationary bike is all you really need to participate.
