Semper Fi & America’s Fund provides urgently needed resources and lifetime support for combat wounded, critically ill, and catastrophically injured service members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.

If you enter in December, our donations to Semper Fi & America’s Fund will be doubled by the Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation. During Double Down 4 Veterans all donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10 million!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Those wishing to participate in this winter series may complete the 5K distance walk/run at their convenience as their schedule permits, beginning Thursday, January 21 through Sunday, January 24. Please be aware that you will be required to submit a screenshot or photo of your data to verify your results.

To be considered a finisher, you simply need to complete the required distance anywhere you can safely walk or run before the end of the event. As long as you can measure your time and distance via a smartwatch, GPS-enabled device, or phone, you can enter your time and distance. Participants are also required to upload a screenshot or photo of your activity data to verify your reported time and distance.

If you plan to participate in this event, please complete the prescribed distance indoors or outdoors based on general safety and full compliance with local Coronavirus guidelines.

GENERAL INFORMATION

What is a virtual run?
Athletes have the convenience of running on their own schedule anywhere in the world — indoors or outside. The beauty of a virtual challenge is the flexibility.

Who is a virtual run for?
Anyone! Whether you’re looking to do your first event or have done hundreds, anyone can participate. To be considered a finisher, you simply need to complete the required distance for all segments before the end of the event.

Where should I participate?
Wherever you can safely run! Run on a treadmill, track or trail. As long as you can measure your time and distance via a smartwatch, GPS-enabled device or phone, you can enter your time and distance on the Virtual Sports Racing platform.

Please complete indoors or outdoors based on general safety and full compliance with local Coronavirus guidelines.

What equipment do I need?
A GPS-enabled device, phone or smartwatch to record your workout is encouraged, but you do not have to have a tracking device. Basic run gear and access to a trail or treadmill is all you really need to participate.
